The help of consistent and gentle exfoliation is much needed to keep acne at bay. Who better than Mandelic acid for the job? It has a large molecular size, making it penetrate the skin slowly. Read gentle and non-irritating. Plus it’s known for having brightening and antibacterial properties.

L-Mandelic acid: it comes from bitter almonds, and is the gentlest of AHAs. Mellow but mighty, it promotes cell turnover, fades pigmentation and stimulates collagen, with a much lower risk of irritation compared to other acids - ideal for even the most sensitive skins and all skin tones. Did we mention it’s also anti-bacterial? We are big fans!

Salicylic Acid: Because it’s oil soluble, BHA not only exfoliates the surface of the skin but also dives deep into the pores to unclog and clear any congestion. Brings potent anti-inflammatory powers. Great for preventing new acne formation.

Lilac leaf cell culture extract: An all around powerhouse for acne prone skin. It helps to reduce inflammation causing bacteria and excess sebum production.

Silybum slymarin (milk thistle): Powerful antioxidant that regulates sebum production, has anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Licorice root: Well studied skin brightener that helps fade dark spots to even out skin tone, all the while reducing inflammation.

How to use+

After cleansing, apply two to three pumps on dry skin, covering your entire face, avoiding the eye area (don’t apply it like a spot treatment on existing acne). Let it dry for a minute before following up with your moisturizer. 

 

If your skin is not used to AHAs and BHA, take it slow at first. One application every other day is a good place to start. You can slowly work up to twice a day as needed. Remember to end your skincare routine with SPF when you use Balancing Act in the morning.

A miracle worker!

This serum is incredible, it's helped to get rid of some super stubborn forehead acne/bumps as well as cystic acne I've been struggling with along my jaw line for ages - nothing has helped me improve my skin this year until I started using this entire product line - not diet, gut health, supplements, etc.
